The day-long celebration of Prof. Dillon’s legacy will include two parts, one aimed at scientists, and the other aimed at the general public (timetable here). You are welcome to attend either, or both.

    17.00 – The Dillon “Threesis” Challenge (rapid-fire engaging talks by research students about the role of carbohydrates in the world – 3 minutes, 3 slides, 3 judges)

    A specially-commissioned Ballet piece, written by Dillon and inspired by KekulĂ©’s Dream (performers: Youth Ballet West, choreographer: Ester O Brolchain)

    A historical talk about Prof Dillon by his granddaughter, author Honor O Brolchain
    “The Remarkable Thomas P. Dillon – Chemist, Professor and Revolutionary”

    There will also be time to share memories and stories, with a reception to follow
